Refund and returns policy

1. Scope

This policy supplements the Terms and Conditions of Sale. It applies to physical products, services carried out at the workshop or on an ECU sent by post, digital products and MTG Credits.

2. Physical products

2.1 Right of withdrawal

Consumer customers have 14 days from receipt of a product to withdraw, under the conditions set out in article 15 of the T&Cs.

2.2 Return conditions

To be refunded in full, the product must be returned complete, in its original packaging and must not have been fitted. The customer may handle the product as they would in a shop. Any diminished value resulting from handling beyond this may be deducted from the refund.

The following cannot be taken back, unless faulty: ECUs that have been programmed, cloned, coded or virginised for the customer's vehicle, as well as any part customised at their request.

2.3 Procedure

Before any return, the customer must contact MTG AUTO SPORT at mtgautosport@gmail.com to obtain return authorisation and shipping instructions. Unless otherwise stated, returns must be sent to a pick-up point at:

Return costs are borne by the customer in the event of withdrawal, and by MTG AUTO SPORT in the event of an error on its part or a faulty product.

3. Faulty or non-conforming product

The customer is asked to report any defect or non-conformity as soon as possible after receipt, with supporting photos and a description, to facilitate handling. This recommendation in no way limits the statutory guarantees described in article 16 of the T&Cs.

After checking, MTG AUTO SPORT will offer repair, replacement or a refund, in accordance with the rules of the statutory guarantee of conformity.

4. Services

4.1 Services carried out

A service that has been fully performed with the customer's express consent, and for which they have waived their right of withdrawal, is not refundable. This applies in particular to engine remapping, ethanol conversion, electronic diagnostics, cloning, Immo Off, virginisation and any technical work on a vehicle or ECU.

4.2 Bench diagnostics

The diagnostic fee remains payable regardless of the outcome, including where the ECU is declared beyond repair or where the customer does not proceed with the quote.

4.3 Service not possible

If MTG AUTO SPORT is unable to carry out a service by post for a reason attributable to it, or if the ECU reference does not allow the stated work to be performed, the service not carried out will be refunded. If the cause is attributable to the customer (incomplete parcel, missing supporting documents, ECU not matching the order), the shipping costs incurred remain at their expense.

4.4 Special cases

A full or partial refund, or a goodwill gesture, may be granted where a service does not match the order or where there is an error attributable to MTG AUTO SPORT. Each situation is assessed individually.

5. Digital products

Modified files, downloadable software, software licences and tokens, as well as downloadable files and documentation, are no longer refundable once made available, as the customer has given express consent and waived their right of withdrawal. In the event of a faulty file, MTG AUTO SPORT will correct or replace it.

6. MTG Credits

MTG Credits are non-refundable, except in the case of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase if no credit has been used, or if MTG AUTO SPORT ceases trading (article 7 of the T&Cs).

7. Refund procedure

Refunds are made using the payment method used when ordering, unless the customer expressly agrees to another method, within a maximum of 14 days from approval of the return or the refund decision. For an order paid for with MTG Credits, the refund is made in MTG Credits.
