Flexfuel Conversion and Stage 1 - Opel Corsa D 1.0 65 PS

Why Flexfuel + Stage 1?

Freedom of fuel choice

The driver can run on E85, SP98, SP95 or SP95-E10, in any mix, depending on fuel availability and price. A real advantage with rising pump prices.

Performance and reliability

We replaced the 4 original spark plugs with high-performance platinum plugs: better combustion, improved reliability and a more responsive engine. With Stage 1, the engine also gains power and torque, for sharper acceleration and more enjoyable everyday driving.

Tailor-made optimisation, no box required

Unlike piggyback-box solutions, our conversion is carried out by extracting and modifying the engine map. The parameters are precisely adjusted to get the best from every drop of fuel, with no additional components and no compromise on reliability.

Why run on E85?

  • Cheaper at the pump : on average €0.80 to €1 less per litre than unleaded, depending on the station.
  • Reduced environmental impact : ethanol is produced in France from plant-based resources (beet, maize, wheat). It emits less CO2 than fossil fuels.
  • Cooler engine : ethanol absorbs more heat, which lowers engine temperatures and protects components such as the turbo and the catalytic converter.
  • Better knock resistance : with an octane rating between 105 and 110, ethanol allows more aggressive ignition timing settings, for more performance and responsiveness.
  • Energy produced in France : running on E85 means supporting French renewable energy production and reducing our dependence on foreign oil.

How the work is carried out

  • Drop-off (5 to 6 hours) : the vehicle must be dropped off with approximately 1/4 of a tank of SP98.
  • Full diagnostics : check of the engine's general condition. Spark plugs replaced if they have covered more than 5,000 km (not included in the basic package).
  • Road test before conversion : measurement of lambda values and fuel trims at 80, 110 and 130 km/h on the motorway.
  • Map modification : extraction and optimisation of the engine map based on the recorded values, with the settings specific to Stage 1.
  • Road test after conversion : 20-litre fill-up of E85 (included in the basic package), followed by a road test to verify the settings.
  • Finalisation : adjustment of parameters if necessary, for a perfect result.
