Why choose a Flexfuel conversion?
A versatile fuel
Your car can run on E85, SP98, SP95 or SP95-E10, in any mixture. More choice at the pump and more flexibility depending on prices.
Better performance
We replace the 4 original spark plugs with high-performance platinum spark plugs. The result: better combustion, greater reliability and a more responsive engine.
A tailor-made optimisation
No add-on box: we modify the engine map directly to adjust the settings to your vehicle. It is more precise, cleaner and more reliable.
What is E85?
Bioethanol sold under the name E85 contains 85% ethanol and 15% SP95 unleaded. It is produced in France from plant-based resources such as beet, maize, wheat and even algae: a fuel that is both renewable and local.
Why run on E85?
- Cheaper at the pump : on average €0.70 to €1 less per litre than unleaded, depending on the station.
- Reduced environmental impact : ethanol is produced in France from plant-based resources (beet, maize, wheat). It emits less CO2 than fossil fuels.
- Cooler engine : ethanol absorbs more heat, which lowers engine temperatures and protects components such as the turbo and the catalytic converter.
- Better knock resistance : with an octane rating between 105 and 110, ethanol allows more aggressive ignition timing settings, for more performance and responsiveness.
- Energy produced in France : running on E85 means supporting French renewable energy production and reducing our dependence on foreign oil.
How the work is carried out
- Drop-off (5 to 6 hours) : the vehicle must be dropped off with approximately 1/4 of a tank of SP98.
- Full diagnostics : check of the engine's general condition. Spark plugs replaced if they have covered more than 5,000 km (not included in the basic package).
- Road test before conversion : measurement of lambda values and fuel trims at 80, 110 and 130 km/h on the motorway.
- Map modification : extraction and optimisation of the engine map based on the recorded values.
- Road test after conversion : 20-litre fill-up of E85 (included in the basic package), followed by a road test to verify the settings.
- Finalisation : adjustment of parameters if necessary, for a perfect result.
