At MTG AUTO SPORT, we use a GPS dyno to accurately measure your vehicle's performance in real-world conditions. Unlike roller dynos, this technology gives results closer to reality, as it takes into account aerodynamics, weight and driving conditions.

Why a GPS dyno?
- Accuracy in real-world conditions : the measurement is taken on the road, where your vehicle actually drives.
- Torque and power measured directly on the road, without removing anything.
- No drivetrain constraints : no straps or rollers as on a conventional dyno.
- Before / after remapping : the gains are measured, not just claimed.
- Power loss detection : an engine that isn't delivering what it should is spotted straight away.
How does it work?
- Installation of the GPS module and the necessary sensors.
- Measurement of performance in real-world conditions: acceleration, torque, power.
- Analysis of the data and generation of a detailed report.
- Before / after comparison of the remap to validate the gains.
The advantages of our GPS dyno
- Superior accuracy for tailored tuning
- More reliable results on high-power vehicles
- Fewer risks linked to tyre wheelspin
- Real-world driving conditions taken into account
- Compatible with all types of vehicle: FWD, RWD, 4×4
When do we use it?
Before and after a remap
During a engine remapping Stage 1, 1+ or 2 remap, the before / after measurement lets you verify the result achieved in practice.
To fine-tune an E85 conversion
Some E85 Flexfuel conversions require a GPS dyno session to fine-tune the map precisely.
For an engine health check
An abnormal loss of power can reveal a problem. Combined with an electronic diagnostic, the measurement helps to find the cause.
