EGR Valve, DPF & AdBlue Remapping

6 May 2025 · 4 min read

Is your vehicle showing an EGR fault, an AdBlue error message or a clogged DPF?

At MTG AUTO SPORT, we offer effective EGR, DPF and AdBlue remapping solutions to resolve these problems in a lasting and safe way.

Why disable the EGR, DPF or AdBlue?

EGR (exhaust gas recirculation), DPF (diesel particulate filter) and AdBlue (SCR selective catalytic reduction) systems were designed to reduce polluting emissions. Over time, however, they often become a source of breakdowns, power loss, warning lights and high repair costs.

  • Remapping is a reliable technical solution that makes it possible to:
  • Disable the EGR valve to prevent engine clogging
  • Neutralise DPF-related functions in the event of a mechanical removal
  • Remove AdBlue error messages and prevent the vehicle from going into limp mode

The benefits of our solution:

  • Permanent removal of the warning lights related to the system
  • No power loss – on the contrary, often better efficiency
  • Avoids costly repairs (DPF replacement, AdBlue injectors, etc.)
  • Reversible procedure on request
  • Optimisation carried out safely, using professional equipment and a full engine analysis

What you need to know:

  • These remaps are reserved for export, competition or track use. Their use is prohibited on public roads in France, as they do not comply with pollution standards.
  • If your DPF, AdBlue or EGR system is still functional, we can also offer maintenance and regeneration solutions, depending on your needs.

EGR, DPF, AdBlue: frequently asked questions

Why delete the EGR valve?

The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve recirculates part of the burnt gases back into the engine intake. Over time, it becomes clogged, causing jerking, engine warning lights and power loss. EGR deletion via ECU remapping eliminates these faults permanently, with no parts to replace.

What is the DPF and why disable it?

The DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) traps soot from diesel engines. On vehicles that do a lot of short or urban journeys, it clogs regularly and triggers limp mode. DPF deletion involves physically removing the filter and remapping the ECU to ignore the associated sensors — no more forced regeneration, no more DPF-related faults.

Can AdBlue be deleted on all diesels?

The AdBlue (SCR) system is fitted to the majority of Euro 5 and Euro 6 diesels. When the system fails — faulty NOx sensor, failed pump, clogged dosing unit — the vehicle goes into limp mode and eventually won't start at all. At MTG Auto Sport, we delete the AdBlue system via ECU remapping on almost all makes: Citroën, Peugeot, Renault, Volkswagen, Ford, BMW, Mercedes, etc.

How much does an EGR, DPF and AdBlue delete cost?

The price depends on the vehicle, the ECU and the work to be carried out (single delete or combined EGR + DPF + AdBlue). We carry out a free preliminary diagnostic to assess feasibility and offer you a clear quote . Contact us beforehand or simply drop in at the workshop in Ballancourt (91).

Is EGR/DPF/AdBlue deletion legal?

These deletions modify the vehicle's emissions control systems and make it non-compliant with the MOT-equivalent technical inspection (contrôle technique) in France. Our services are offered for vehicles dedicated to off-road, export or track use. We clearly inform you of the implications before any work is carried out.

Is remapping necessary after replacing an EGR valve?

Yes, in many cases. On modern vehicles, mechanically replacing the EGR valve is not always enough: the ECU has stored adaptation values that persist even after the replacement. A full reset of the adaptations and coding of the new valve using a diagnostic tool are often necessary to clear the faults permanently.
