Want to cut your fuel budget while adopting a more environmentally friendly solution? MTG AUTO SPORT's Flexfuel remapping lets you run on E85 ethanol, a cheaper fuel available everywhere in France.
What is E85 remapping?
E85 remapping involves adapting the engine ECU's map so that your vehicle runs on E85 ethanol, SP95, SP98… or any mix of the two. This is known as flex fuel, hence the name Flexfuel.

Flexfuel Stage 1 or Stage 2?
Flexfuel Stage 1
The original engine map is adapted to accept E85 ethanol, with no mechanical modification, only if the engine is compatible. Ideal for recent vehicles or those already tolerant of this fuel.
Flexfuel Stage 2
In addition to the remap, this level includes replacing or upgrading the parts essential for proper E85 fuelling:
- low-pressure pump;
- high-pressure pump;
- injectors.
These components are sometimes necessary to ensure the reliability, power and durability of the conversion, particularly on direct-injection or heavily stressed engines.
The advantages of E85
- Up to 40% fuel savings: E85 often costs between €0.70 and €1 per litre
- Multi-fuel compatibility: E85, SP95, SP98 or a mix, your choice
- A plant-based fuel with lower CO2 emissions than petrol
- No major mechanical modifications
- A reversible remap if needed
What you need to know before converting
- The remap is not compatible with every vehicle: we carry out a compatibility check before every job.
- More regular maintenance may be required: spark plugs, filters, lambda sensors, etc.
- Cold weather can make starting difficult: in some cases, a little SP is recommended in winter.
- Some remaps require a session on the GPS dyno to fine-tune the map.
